Y type strainer
Description
1. Y type strainer is essential for medium transmission pipeline system, it was installed on the inlet of pressure reduce valves, pressure release valves, remote control float valves and other facilities, the main function is eliminating impurities (solids) in the water, liquid, gas or steam lines by means of a perforated or wire mesh to guarantee the normal operation of valves and facilities.
2. Y type filter is used in pipelines to protect pumps, meters, control valves, steam traps, regulators and other process equipment.
3. Y type strainer can be fitted with a blow-off connections, can be a self-cleaning strainer. A valve is installed on the connection located on the strainer cap. The screen can thus be cleaned by simply opening and then closing the valve without shutting off the flow or disassembling the strainer. When the valve is opened, the material trapped inside the screen drains out.
4. Standard screens is 304 stainless steel for water service, for other service such as steam service, pls specify.
5. Material grade for Y strainers are include ductile iron, grey iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium alloy etc.
