What is Ramadan?
In the Hijri lunar calendar of Islam, Ramadan is the ninth month, which is a holy and blessed month because Muslims believe that the Qur'an was revealed to the Prophet of Islam during this month. During this month, Muslims avoid eating and drinking between morning and evening prayers.
What should be done during the holy month of Ramadan?

رمضان چیست؟
در تقویم هجری قمری اسلام، نهمین ماه رمضان است که ماه مبارک و مقدسی می باشد چرا که مسلمانان بر این باورند که کتاب قرآن در طول این ماه بر پیامبر اسلام (ص) نازل شده است. در این ماه مسلمانان بین نماز صبح تا نماز مغرب از خوردن و اشامیدن اجتناب می کنند.
در ماه مبارک رمضان چه اعمالی را باید ، به جا آورد؟
در این ماه علاوه بر اجتناب از خوردن و اشامیدن باید تقوای الهی پیشه کرد. اکثر مسلمان در طول این ماه مبارک، ساعات بیشتری را صرف رفتن به مساجد یا خواندن قرآن می کنند و به جای مادیات به شکرگزاری خداوند تمرکز می کنند.
زمان گشایش روزه مسلمان را افطار می نامند که با غروب آفتاب و شنیدن صدای اذان آغاز می شود.گفته شده است که پیامبر(ص) پیش از نماز روزه ی خود را با یک خرما و یک لیوان آب باز می کردند .در این ماه توصیه میشود که با خوردن غذایی سبک افطار را آغاز کنیم. سحری بخش دیگری ازماه رمضان است که مسلمانان پیش از اذان صبح به خوردن غذا و عبادت می پردازند و البته با شنیدن صدای اذان خوردن و آشامیدن تا اذان مغرب متوقف خواهد شد.
