There was a farmer who was selling a kilo of butter to a baker every day. One day the baker decided to weigh the butter to see if he was getting the right amount, which he wasn’t. Angry about this, he took the farmer to court.
مزرعه‌داری بود که هر روز یک کیلو کره به یک نانوا می‌فروخت. یک روز نانوا تصمیم گرفت که کره را وزن کند تا ببیند آیا مقدار درست را دریافت می‌کند که این طور نبود. عصبانی از این موضوع، او مزرعه‌دار را به دادگاه کشاند.
The judge asked the farmer if he was using any measure to weight the butter. The farmer replied, “Your Honor, I am illiterate. I don’t have a proper measure, but I do have a scale.”
قاضی از مزرعه‌دار پرسید آیا از پیمانه خاصی برای وزن کردن کره استفاده می‌کند. مزرعه‌دار پاسخ داد: «عالی‌جناب، من بی‌سواد هستم. پیمانه درستی ندارم اما یک ترازو دارم.»
The judge asked, “Then how do you weigh the butter?”
قاضی پرسید: «پس چطور کره را وزن می‌کنی؟»

The farmer replied, “Your Honor, long before the baker started buying butter from me, I have been buying a kilo loaf of bread from him. Every day when the baker brings the bread, I put it on the scale and give him the same weight in butter. If anyone is to be blamed, it is the baker.”
مزرعه‌دار پاسخ داد: «عالی‌جناب، بسیار قبل‌تر از اینکه نانوا شروع به خرید کره از من کند، من قرص نانی به وزن یک کیلو از او می‌خریدم. هر روز وقتی نانوا نان را می‌آورَد، من آن را روی ترازو می‌گذارم و به همان وزن به او کره می‌دهم. اگر کسی مقصر باشد، آن نانوا است.»
Moral of the story: In life, what goes around comes around.
