انواع سیستم عامل لینوکس (Linux)

در حال حاضر سیستم عامل های مختلفی وجود دارند که بنا به نیاز های متفاوت کاربران طراحی و توسعه یافته اند و به همین دلیل دارای توانایی انجام وظایفی که از سیستم ( از سوی کاربر ) دریافت می کنند و از سیستم توقع دارند را هستند.
آن ها همچنین می توتانند عملیات ساده و چندگانه را در یک زمان انجام دهند. بنابر این انواع مختلفی از سیستم عامل ها سازماندهی شده اند که بزرگترین وجه تمایز میان آنها از حیث نوع کنترل و نوع برنامه های کاربردی است که این خانواده گسترده را به ۴ گروه تقسیم می کند :

۱- سیستم عامل های بلادرنگ یا بیدرنگ (Real Time ) : این نوع از سیستم عامل ها برای کنترل ماشین آلات صنعتی,تجهیزات علم و سیستم های صنعتی مورد استفاده قرار می گیردئ. حصول اطمینان از این که عملیات در هر بار اجرا در مقدار زمان معین, به صورت صحیح انجام می گیرد و به طور کلی پاسخ گویی به پدیده هایی که ناشی از حساسیت های زمانی هستند,از جمله مهمترین اهداف این نوع سیستم عامل می باشد.
۲- سیستم عامل های چند کاربره (Multi User ) : این نوع سیستم عامل اجازه می دهد تا تعداد زیادی از افراد کارهای خود را در یک زمان انجام دهند که این کار نیازمند تعادل در درخواست های کاربران و نگهداشتن آن ها به صورت جدا از همو عدم ایجاد تداخل میان آن هاست. مثال: WINDOWS 2000 , LINUX , UNIX
۳-سیستم های تک کاربره_ تک کاربره (Single User-Single User ) : این نوع از سیستم عامل ها به گونه ای طراحی شده اند که یک کاربر در یک لحظه تنها قادر به انجام یک کار باشد. مثال سیستم عامل Plamos که برای کامپیوتر های PDA استفاده می شود.
۴- سیستم هخای تک کاربره_چند کاره (Single User-Multi Tasking ) : سیستم عامل اکثر کامپیوتر های شخصی (PC) از این نوع می باشد.
ویندوز در نسخه های مختلف و MAC نمونه هایی در این زمینه هستند.برای مثال کاربر ویندوز ۷ در حال تایپ با استفاده از واژه پرداز بوده و در همان زمان اقدام به دریافت فایل در اینترنت می کند سپس در همین حال متن تایپ شده خئد را برای چاپ به چاپگر ارسال می کند.
